Whatsapp is rolling up a total of 3 new security features that will protect the device from getting hampered by online scanners.

1. Verification of Device
Verification of the device will now be required on WhatsApp to add a new device using the Link Device feature. Once you add a new device to your WhatsApp number, whether it is a computer or a mobile device, you will be asked to verify it on your old phone.
If you haven’t added any device to your WhatsApp account, you will get alerts to make things safe. This feature was much needed as it could save you from online scammers.

2. Security Code Verification
Whatsapp’s other security feature is to send a security code verification. This will enable you to chat with a relative, friend, or anyone with end-to-end encryption.
You will be able to check the encryption from the heading of the contact with which you are chatting. The encryption option is now completely automated with the help of a verification code to make it more transparent.
3. Verified Device
Whatsapp will now be able to recognize a previously added device for your WhatsApp account. This will improve security as it will keep your device from getting added to devices containing malware and viruses. This will be an automated feature, so you don’t have to do anything to have this feature on your device.
